December Happenings

Where is the year going? Soon 2009 will be history.

Our Christmas story times will be our last of the year. They will be Monday, December 14 at 10:00 a.m. and Tuesday evening, December 15 at 6:30 p.m.

Our last S.W.A.M.P. Reader Book Club meeting of 2009 will be Tuesday, December 15 at 4:00 p.m. We will be making Christmas ornaments. Please remember that sign up for the first 20 kids begins on Tuesday, December 8.

The weekend of December 12 and 13, we will have a Bonsai Exhibit by the Lake Charles Bonsai and Black Bayou Bonsai Societies. Everyone is welcome to ask questions about these amazing little trees.

On Tuesday, December 22, Wii (Ms Rita and Ms Tara) challenge you to a game of bowling from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Monday, December 21st at 10:00 a.m. - a movie about some talking puppies who race across Alaska.
Wednesday, December 23rd at 2:00 p.m. - a movie about the top Elf trying to keep hidden his toy shop from Old Man Winter.
Monday, December 28th at 10:00 a.m. - a movie about spy guinea pigs who are trying to save the world.
Tuesday, December 29th at 2:00 p.m. - a movie about a little girl who is turned into a giant monster and must help save the world.
Wednesday, December 30th at 2:00 p.m. - a movie about a taxi driver and 2 alien kids who must stop an alien invasion.


The Library will be closed on Thursday, December 24; Friday, December 25; and Saturday, December 26 for the Christmas Holidays. We will also be closed on Thursday, December 31 and Friday, January 1 for the New Year holidays.
